Tutorial day: | July 13, 2018 |
Main conference: | July 14-17, 2018 |
CAV 2018 is the 30th in a series dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of computer-aided formal analysis methods for hardware and software systems.
As part of the Federated Logic Conference , CAV 2018 will be collocated with many other conferences in logic. CAV considers it vital to continue spurring advances in hardware and software verification while expanding to new domains such as biological systems and computer security.
The conference covers the spectrum from theoretical results to concrete applications, with an emphasis on practical verification tools and the algorithms and techniques that are needed for their implementation. CAV considers it vital to continue spurring advances in hardware and software verification while expanding to new domains such as biological systems and computer security. The proceedings of the conference will be published in the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. A selection of papers is expected to be invited to a special issue of Formal Methods in System Design and the Journal of the ACM.

The CAV 2018 proceedings are Open Access and published in two parts, ordered by sessions according to the program:
Oxford Union debate on Ethics and Morality of Robotics
Federated Logic Conference and Vienna Center for Logic and Algorithms (VCLA) organize the Oxford Union debate on “Ethics and Morality of Robotics” on July 16, 2018. This debate is also an event in the LogicLounge series. First held at the Vienna Summer of Logic in 2014 (the largest event in the history of logic and where the Federated Logic Conference of the same year was collocated), LogicLounge has become a regular event at CAV in honour of the late Prof. Helmut Veith. While this debate is free, a separate registration is required. The registration link is on the page.
