The grand finale of the Montreal international fireworks show will occur at 10pm on Saturday, July 27th from La Ronde, rain or shine. Our local guide recommends the following route:
- Leave Place des Arts around 8pm, and walk to the Old Port of Montreal. Make sure to leave at least 30 minutes to reach the ferry and board before its departure. There are scheduled crossings at 8:30pm and 9:30pm.
- Take the ferry across the St. Lawrence to Parc Jean-Drapeau / St. Helen’s Island. The fare costs $6 dollars if you book in advance, or they accept OPUS cards if you arrive in person. You can book a ticket on the website: https://navettesfluviales.starboardsuite.com/group-details
- Take time to explore Parc Jean-Drapeau if you arrive early, but plan to be on Jacques Cartier Bridge around ~9:45pm for a good spot. The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic but open for exclusive access to pedestrians.
- After the fireworks show, walk across the Jacques-Cartier bridge to Papineau subway station and take the green line metro in the Angrignon direction to return to Guy-Concordia or wherever your final destination may be that evening.
